New England is my favorite place in America. Between 1983 and 2001,
I've made 23 separate trips to Vermont, most in the summer, the rest at Christmas time.
Our summer camp was in the middle of nowhere in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, 5 miles from
the nearest town, which had only about 1,000 people in it. It was on a high
altitude glacial lake surrounded by nothing but mountains, forests, cow pastures, and
other summer homes. It was like paradise to me. Vermont's summers are mild, sunny, and
have some of the best thunderstorms you can imagine. 75% of all the rainbows I've ever
seen were there.
In 1993 my dad moved to Hyde Park. Hyde Park is 10 miles from Stowe which is known as
the Ski Capital of the East and is tremendously popular in the winter so my dad opened a
Bed and Breakfast Inn. He owned it for 9 years before selling it in Spring of 2000. last updated 11/03/02 |

This is the camp in West Glover, Vermont where we spent all our summers. For some unknown reason, we only have a picture of it at winter time. That's my brother standing out there on the frozen lake. |

I'll put in some more Vermont pics as soon as I get them scanned. |
